Samuel P. Moran

Student of Mechanical Engineering

at the University of Tulsa

About me

I am a senior mechanical engineering student at the University of Tulsa. I was born in Tulsa, OK, and grew up in nearby Coweta, OK.

I am currently involved in one engineering design competition at TU, Baja SAE. My engineering classes this semester are Mechanical Engineering Design, Controls, and Automotive Design. J'Útudie franšais! I am also working as a TA for the intro to VBA class and in the prototyping lab. Class and work aside, my main focus this semester is Mini Baja.

In my free time I like to do volunteer work and spend time with my friends. I started volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters last year and I love spending time with my little brother. I have been working with TU Habitat for Humanity this semester, too.

I love music, especially jazz. I have been known to play the bassoon, saxophone, and bagpipes. I am out of practice on all three, but I would like to at least pick up the saxophone again. I've just started ballroom dancing this semester. I also enjoy photography.

I am willing to do tutoring for some classes related to mechanical engineering. Please send me an email (sam-moran at if you are interested for yourself or if you know someone who might be.
