Notes:

There are numerous contradictions and what appears to be outright fantasy in the following entries. Rather than force a determination as to what material is "better" than the others, I've tried to include it all equally. I've broken this up into several files for ease of handling.

1. Dates marked with an asterisk (###*) indicate a guess on my part.
2. Material marked with an asterisk in parentheses (*) is public "Real World" information. Please note this does not mean that I am claiming that they really happened, just that they are purported to have happened.
3. An "i" in brackets [I] denotes conspiracy or Illuminati events.
4. A "j" in brackets [J] denotes events specifically relating to the Kennedy Assassination.
5. An "m" in brackets [M] denotes something to do with "Monsters" or "Mysterious Events"
6. A "u" in brackets [U] denotes something to do with UFOs.

• [M] McGinnis, Smith and Vaughan return to Oak Island, with Simeon Lynds. At 100' they reach the probable site of the chests. They leave it along for the night, by the time they return everything is flooded.

1805

• [M] Lynds and Smith dig a second pit and tunnel in from the side, attempting to drain the water out. They are lucky to survive.

1810

• [I] The US Senate passes the proposed 13th Amendment barring "Titles of Nobility". The Amendment is sent to the states for ratification.

  [M] The Lord Mayor of London reveals the existance of a "citizen of Peckham" who has been frightening women.

  [M] Lucy and Margaret Scales are attacked by Spring Heeled Jack in Limehouse.

  [M] Jane Alsop is attacked at her parent's home in east London by Spring Heeled Jack.

• Jan
  [M] Mary Rogers, disappears. She reappeared 6 days later, tired and ill, explaining that she had been with relatives in the country. A few days later, rumors begin that she was seen in the company of a naval officer, and she quits her job. [This IS the first disappearance, which is also noted for 4 Oct 1838. This dating is according to Colin Wilson. Source unknown.  Evidence from the estate case of John Anderson in 1891, hints that Mary had been missing after receiving an abortion, paid for by Anderson.]

  [M] Mary Rogers announces her engagement to Daniel Payne.
• 3 Jul
  [M] Alfred Crommelin (or William Koekkoek), a former boarder of Mrs. Rogers' (in 1840), and a former suiter of Mary's, a seaman from the USS North Carolina, calls on Mary.
• 25 Jul
  [M] Mary Rogers again disappears, purportedly while on her way to visit an aunt in Bleeker Street. [An anonymous witness told the coroner, in a letter, that he had seen her step out of a boat in Hoboken with 6 rough looking characters, and head into the woods with them, laughing and under no constraint. Two other witnesses, who knew Mary, could corroberate the general story, but couldn't absolutely identify the woman as Mary Rogers.] [A stagecoach driver named Adams (or Adam Wall) saw Mary arrive on the Hoboken ferry with a well dressed, dark complected man, and they had gone to a roadhouse named "Nick Mullens". Nick Mullens was kept by a Mrs. Loss, who said the couple had 'taken refreshment' and then went into the woods. Some she thought she heard a scream, but thought no more of it.]

  [M] Mary's mother and fiancé begin to seek for her.
• 28 Jul
  [M] Mary Rogers' body is found in the Hudson River at Elysian Fields (or Castle Point), Hoboken, New Jersey. She was strangled, a piece of lace from her dress was tied tightly about her neck. A strip of muslin (about a foot or eighteen inches wide), carefully torn from her upper petticoat, and knotted to be used as a gag, is found loose around her neck. Over this is tied her bonnet strings (in a sailor's slip knot). There are signs of bruising about the neck, and marks of cords on her wrists. A section of her skirt had been torn up, but not off, looped around the waist, and secured in back by a knot. Her nether petticoat is missing.
• 29 Jul
  [M] A brief Coroner's inquest in the matter of Mary Cecilia Rogers' death. The coroner determines that she had been violated by multiple men (or perhaps multiple times).
• 1 Aug
  [M] The papers finally take note of Mary Rogers' death.
• 3 Aug
  [M] An article in the New York Herald reports the first disappearance, and asserts that she was kept by a Naval Officer for two weeks.
• 12 Aug
  [M] The Evening Post reports on Daniel C. Payne's deposition (n. b., he is now of 47 John Street)
• 13 Aug
  [M] The Evening Post reports on the depositions of Alfred Crommelin, and Archibald Padley (both of 19 John Street), also former boarders of Mrs. Rogers'. As well as that of Mrs. Rogers' herself.
• 25 Sep
  [M] Children playing in the woods in Hoboken find a petticoat, a white silk scarf, a parasol, and a handkerchief marked "M.R."
• Early Nov
  [M] Daniel Payne commits suicide on the spot where Mary Rogers' petticoat and stuff were found.

1842

• 18 Nov
  [M] Mrs. Loss is mortally wounded in an "accidental shooting", and before her death confesses that Mary Rogers came to her establishment in the company of a young physician who "undertook" a "premature delivery" during which she died. The body was thrown into the river to protect the Doctor and Mrs. Loss's family.
• Nov (December and February)
  [M] Edgar Allan Poe publishes the Mystery of Marie Roget in Snowden's Ladies' Companion, as a serial. In the original version of the story, the title character is murdered while being raped by her secret lover. [There is some weak speculation that Poe himself might have been the dark complected secret lover who murdered Mary Rogers].

1845

• [M] Spring Heeled Jack is seen in Ealing and Hanwell. At Jacob's Island in Bermondsey SHJ is responsible for the accidental death of a prostitute, Maria Davis.

1849

• (*) Sir Basil Zaharoff born.
• [M] Anthony Vaughan returns to Oak Island with the Truro Syndicate. They dig numerous shafts, bore several holes and get ripped off by their foreman.

1850

• [M] A female Alma is captured in the Ochamchir region. She is named Zama. (N.b. She is able to bear children fathered by humans).[Date uncertain]
• [M] The Truro Syndicate uncovers the drain system that keeps flooding the pit.
• [M] The gorilla is "discovered"?

• [M] A huge "Tiger" is spotted near Russelville, Ky.

• [M] Lord Waterford dies from a fall from his horse. He may have been Spring Heeled Jack.

• [I] Under the orders of Fraulein Sprengle, Dr. Westcott founds the English branch of Die Goldene Dammerung, or the Isis-Urania Temple of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. He is joined by Dr. Woodcott and MacGregor Mathers.
• [M] Five Whitechapel prostitutes are murdered, allegedly by "Jack the Ripper" [Some allege these murders are committed according to strict Masonic principles].

1889

• [I] The foundations of the Round Table Society, eventually to be funded by Cecil Rhodes and the Rothschilds, are laid by a meeting of representatives from US, Great Britain, Canada, Australia, India, South Africa, and New Zealand.

  [U] A "mysterious aircraft" crashes in Aurora, Texas. A single body is recovered that is clearly described as not being terrestrial.
• [M] Digging in the Money Pit, W.R. Chappell strikes iron, then cement, wood, and 32 inches of soft metal plus oak chips, coconut husk fiber, and a small piece of parchment with the letters "u i" "v i", or "w i" written in India ink with a quill pen.

1898
