A PAIR OF WHITE GLOVES
SIXTEENTH CENTURY

A PAIR of stout white leather gloves, apparently once the property of a person of considerable stature, to judge from their size. The gauntlets are nicely embroidered with metallic thread of gold and silver, parts of the work being raised by means of a red wool padding. Till recently these gloves were in the possession of a family in Warwickshire. They are now in the collection of Seymour Lucas, Esqr., R.A.
