Over the hills and far away...

It's vacation time in bedlam
For them that with us freely comes
'Tis volunteers shall win the day
Over the hills and far away

[Chorus]
Down the road, we trail the Star,
To Pennsic, Estrella and Gulf Wars,
The Crown commands and we obey
Over the Hills and far away.

[Chorus]

Our 'prentice Tom may now refuse,
To make his Laurel'd Master's Shoes,
For now he's free to sing and play,
Over the Hills and far away.

[Chorus]

We all shall live more happy times,
Our jobs and such soon left behind,
That nag and drag both night and day,
Over the Hills and far away.

[Chorus]

Over the rocks and over the steep,
Over the waters, wide and deep,
We'll drive the foe without delay,
Over the Hills and far away.

[Chorus]

Over the Mountains dreary waste,
To meet the enemy we haste,
The Crown leads us every day,
Over the Hills and far away.

[Chorus]

Beyond the Hills with Heart we go,
To fight the proud insulting foe,
Our kingdom calls and we go slay,
Over the Hills and far away.

[Chorus]

Come all you that have a mind
To serve a queen that's good and kind
Come enlist to fight without pay
And go over the hills and far away

[Chorus]

Courage, though 'tis one to ten,
But we return all back again,
All gentle'd as well as they,
Over the hills and far away.

[Chorus]

And though our friends our absence mourn,
We with honor shall all return,
And then we'll sing both Night and Day,
Over the Hills and far away;

[Chorus]

Over Rivers, Bogs, and Springs,
We all shall live as great as Kings,
To party nights and fight the day,
When o'er the Hills and far away;

[Chorus]

On the honored field we stand,
With sword and rapier well in hand,
The foe is beat, they dare not stay,
But take to their heels, and run away.

[Chorus]
