Things made by Anna

Anna Troy (known in the SCA as Anna de Byxe) is a very nice librarian in Sweden who is working very hard on improving her crafts and making medieval shoes.  Because I am an exceptionally kind and modest person, I am making copies of some of the things she's made available here.  Her regular web-page is Anna's Crafts Links pages [http://www21.brinkster.com/annascrafts/].   You can email her at owly3@yahoo.se

This is a ram, after a picture from a 12th century Bestiary. Real gold. 13th-14th century lined pouch.  Anna tells me that this is her first embroidery project that isn't counted stitch.  The fabric is dark green and a 90% pure wool felt  The embroidery is done with Turkish silk (the device is mine, and I'm honored she chose to use it for this).  She used split stitch and counching.  She used a matte black silk for the cord holes. The lining, which you can see coming out of the top, is an Austrian linen.   June 2003
