The National Conference of Women's Bar Associations, the "voice of the Women's Bar Associations," has created a free email listserve for Women's Bar leaders and supporters.

A listserve is an easy way to distribute email to a large number of people with similar interests. Individual members of the list merely send their messages to the listserve address and the message is then automatically distributed to all list members.

To join: send a message expressing interest, along with a brief description of yourself and your interest in or experience with Women's Bar Associations to the list manager, Kathleen (Kate) Waits, Professor, University of Tulsa College of Law, at:
wombarlead-owner@egroups.com. (We ask you to identify yourself to avoid subscribing disruptive "lurkers" who do not support the mission of Women's Bar Associations.)

Because we know how valuable your time is, we have established strict guidelines on the use of the list. This list will not have overwhelming volume. Instead, it will focus on issues of direct interest to Women's Bars and their members, such as: business referrals, ways of highlighting the accomplishments of women lawyers, and common challenges facing women lawyers and women's bar associations. Further, subscribing to this list should not subject you to spam (unsolicited advertisements). Spam will not be tolerated on the list, and neither the list nor the subscribers' addresses will be available to commercial vendors.
