The address of 10 1/2 N Main given in the paper was taken from
the death certificate, and was the address of the person who
identified the body. The proprietress of the boarding house at
that address.
Shot the morning of the 1st as he stopped on the way to work
to look at the 'havoc wrought by the fire', and was shot
in the chest. He died en route to the hospital. His body was
returned to Rushford, NY, accompanied by a Mr.
Joseph/Josephs.
