Note that these Tech Level breaks are highly subjective, and oversimplified. Just because culture exists at a Tech Level listed below doesn't indicate that the culture actually possesses all of the features listed at that Tech Level, or that this listing is in any way comprehensive. The Tech Level also may indicate when the item is developed, and not neccesarily when it is used commonly.

Notes for Medical "Tech Levels" The examples are for military medicine, and civilian practices for the same time and place may be up to 4 tech levels LOWER than those for the military. The "First Aid" skill is set at TL 9 or better. For training at a level lower than 9, subtract 1 per difference in level from all First Aid and Medicine rolls.
